Yu Jier Kou takes over from Andy Mills who is retiring after seven years.
There is a new person in charge of the Food Sharing Project in Kingston.
Yu Jier Kou was named as the organization's new executive director on Tuesday. She takes over from Andy Mills who is retiring after seven years in the role.
Kou says she hopes to help the community as they continue to face economic uncertainty.
Kou brings experience in community coordination, partnership engagement and program development. She says her background in the not-for-profit sector is going to help her in her new role.
She says it is great to work in a city like Kingston where there are a number of community organizations to partner with.
Food Sharing Project prepares and delivers nutritious meals to 16,000 students across the 88 schools in the Kingston Frontenac Lennox and Addington area.
Kou says work on feeding children and youth is an ongoing commitment.
