Jennifer Jones and Rachel Homan were at the kick-off event at Cataraqui Golf and Country Club.
There was some star power at the official launch of the Grand Slam of Curling's Players Cup event in Kingston.
Olympic gold medalist and two-time world champion Jennifer Jones, and five-time Scotties Tournament of Hearts champion and three-time world champion Rachel Homan were at the Cataraqui Golf and Country Club to meet with hundreds of curling fans in the area.
Jones, who is now a television analylist, says people in the Kingston are in for a treat.
Homan won the 2013 Scotties at the now Slush Puppie Place in Kingston.
She says it will be great to return to the same venue where she has great success.
The Grand Slam of Curling brings the top curling teams from around the world.
Homan says this is much different than the Scotties or a provincial tournament.
Jones says this event is for those who have been curling fanatics for decades or who are new to the sport.
The Grand Slam of Curling Players Cup is happening Dec 15 to 20 at Slush Puppie Place.
