Kingston volunteers honoured for fundraising efforts for the United Way
The United Way of Kingston, Frontenac, Lennox & Addington (KFLA) honoured its workplace volunteers during the annual Workplace Awards Luncheon held April 29 at the Quality Inn and Conference Centre.
The event celebrated the people behind the 2024 campaign’s success. Workplace campaigns brought in 61 per cent of total donations last year.
Awards were handed out in several categories, including Participation Awards, Achievement Awards, Champion Awards, and special honours for first-time campaigns. Labour and media partners were also recognized.
KingstonDaily.ca and our sister station, 88.7 myFM in Napanee received Media Partner Awards for promoting the campaign and its fundraising events.
Britton Smith Leadership Awards were presented in memory of long-time supporter A. Britton Smith.
