UPDATE: Charges laid in head-on collision north of Kingston

Two people were taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuires.

Two people were injured after an early morning, head-on collision north of Kingston.

Frontenac OPP were called to the intersection of Perth Road and Bedford Mills Road around 6 a.m. Thursday.

Investigators say there was one occupant in each of the vehicles.

They say both of the drivers suffered non-life threatening injuries.

A 38-year-old man from Ottawa was charged with careless driving.

A section of Perth Road was closed to traffic as crews work to clean up the scene.
