Thousands turn out to Kingston Home and Garden Expo

There were over 100 vendors at the Cataraqui Community Centre and everyone liked what was offered.

Some leftovers from Old Man Winter didn't dampen the spirit of those that attended the Kingston Home and Garden Expo.

Sunday's brief snowfall didn't stop those from coming to the event that day.

Thousands passed through the doors at the Cataraqui Community Centre Saturday and Sunday. There were over 100 local vendors offering everything from furniture to lawn care to mortgages.

Bennett's Furniture and Mattress was a presenting sponsor of the Kingston Home and Garden Expo.

Amy Beth, one of the decorator consultants from Bennett's, says it was a great way to show what her store had to offer.

Bennett's also supplied the furniture for the broadcast lounge at the front entrance of the arena.

Everyone that attended liked what they saw and the feedback from the vendors that participated was positive.

Amy Beth says for her store, having so many people come to the event was great.

This is the first year that My Broadcasting Corporation, the parent company of KingstonDaily.ca, was organizing the Kingston Home and Garden Expo. MBC Kingston General Manager Paul Burton says the event was a complete success and hopes to do it again next year.
