The crew is excited to welcome boaters for another year.
The Rideau Canal Corridor opens for the boating season Friday morning at 9am.
Haley Lang, Communications Officer for the Rideau Canal says their crew is excited to welcome boaters for another year.
Lang says the lock station workers look forward to seeing new faces, and some that come back year after year.
She says they also understand just how much of an economic driver the corridor is for the communities that line it.
The shoulder season last until June 19th. Lockstations will be open from 9am until 7pm on Weekends and Holiday Monday, and from 10 am until 4pm Monday to Friday.
