The 98.3 FLY-FM hosts are inviting families to donate blood, enjoy Halloween activities and help save lives.
Reid and Ben’s 14th annual Halloween Blood Drive is returning to Kingston this Saturday, Oct. 24.
The 98.3 FLY-FM hosts will welcome donors to Bayridge Secondary School at 1059 Taylor Kidd Blvd. from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
The event combines blood donation with Halloween fun, offering prizes, treats and activities for children, including crafts and games.
Costumes are encouraged but not required, and families are invited to take part in the annual community event.
The blood drive supports Canadian Blood Services, which relies on donors to help maintain the blood supply for patients who need transfusions and other medical treatments. Debbi Barfoot with Canadian Blood Services says they would like to see the number of donors increase.
Those interested in donating are encouraged to book an appointment in advance. Barfoot explains more.
She says that blood in always in need.
Donors can help make a difference in someone’s life while taking part in a Halloween tradition that has been running for 14 years.
To book in advance you can head to the GiveBlood app or online at blood.ca.
