Queen's graduates looking forward to future

The first of many convocation ceremonies were held at the campus last week.

For the more than 5,600 graduating students at Queen's University, this week was the start of the rest of their lives.

Queen's held their spring convocation at Grant Hall Thursday and Friday.

Thursday's ceremony featured graduates from the Faculty of Health Sciences, and Law.

One of them was Ryan Navaro who graduated from medicine.

He says there is a lot of memories that he will carry with him on his next journey.

Justine also received her degree in medicine on Thursday with her parents in attendance.

Justine's mom says she was excited to see her daughter graduate.

Another medical graduate, Jaryd Te, finished his last exam a month earlier and spent the time on vacation before returning to Kingston.

He says he is glad to have finally finished school.

Friday's ceremonies featured graduates from the Faculty of Business.

There are more ceremonies taking place June 22-26 at Slush Puppie Place.
