One driver was arrested for impaired driving and 11 Provincial Offence Notices were issued.
Online reports from citizens are helping the Leeds County Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) focus patrols on specific traffic concerns.
In early March 2026, the OPP received a report regarding ongoing reckless driving in and around Lyndhurst, including tailgating, failure to signal, aggressive passing, speeding, and school zone violations.
Officers were assigned to the areas identified in the report, resulting in one driver being arrested for impaired driving and 11 Provincial Offence Notices issued.
The OPP emphasizes that public reports allow officers to respond more effectively to driving complaints.
Residents are encouraged to submit reports for certain incidents online by visiting www.opp.ca and clicking “Report Online.”
