A Kingston resident is facing charges.
A routine traffic stop by Kingston Police has resulted in the seizure of tens of thousands of dollars in drugs.
An officer stopped a vehicle near Montreal St. and Joseph St. in relation to a Highway Traffic Act violation on Saturday night.
An initial investigation revealed a quantity of contraband tobacco inside the vehicle. A further investigation found cocaine, crystal methamphetamine and magic mushrooms worth approximately $37,000.
Officers also seized $3,057 in cash.
The driver of the vehicle, a 39-year-old from Kingston, is facing a number of charges and was held for a bail hearing.
