The Ontario Provincial Police are investigating after gunshots were reported overnight in Sydenham, located in the Township of South Frontenac.
According to police, members of the Frontenac Detachment were dispatched to a residence on Sydenham Mill Street at about 2:40 a.m. on Friday, Dec. 26, 2025, following a report of gunshots. Officers arrived on scene a short time later and confirmed that no injuries were reported.
Police say the investigation remains ongoing and is being supported by the Frontenac OPP Crime Unit. No further details have been released at this time.
Residents in the area are being urged to stay alert and report any suspicious activity to police.
Anyone with information related to the incident, including security or dash camera footage, is asked to contact OPP at 1-888-310-1122. Anonymous tips can also be submitted through Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 or online, where tipsters may be eligible for a cash reward of up to $2,000.
