Maintenance work and downtown road paving will impact three Kingston parking garages through early June
Drivers in Kingston are being advised to plan ahead as several downtown parking garages will face temporary overnight closures throughout May and early June.
The City of Kingston says the Hanson, Chown and Robert Bruce Memorial parking garages will undergo maintenance work, with some closures also tied to road paving on Brock Street.
The Hanson Memorial Parking Garage will fully close from 6 p.m. May 19 until 6 a.m. May 20 due to nearby roadwork. Additional overnight closures are scheduled May 20 and May 25, along with a partial closure affecting levels five through nine beginning May 24.
The Chown Memorial Parking Garage will also see multiple overnight closures, including a full shutdown May 18 and another on June 3. Partial closures affecting various levels are planned May 27, May 31, June 1 and June 2.
Meanwhile, the Robert Bruce Memorial Parking Garage will fully close overnight on May 19 and again May 26 for maintenance work.
Drivers are encouraged to use alternate parking locations during the closures.
