Officers will be watching for speeders, impaired drivers, distracted drivers, and those who don't wear seat belts.
The long weekend officially kicks off the summer season, and the OPP's Bill Dickson says that means drivers have to slow down and be alert.
He also says there's one piece of gear you have to have with you.
Dickson notes that just as they are every weekend, they'll be out in full force to keep roadways safe.
They'll be watching for impaired drivers, speeders, seat-belt violators and of course people on their phones while driving.
Drivers can also expect to see RIDE checkpoints too as they make their way through the weekend and summer.
Dickson says the vast majority of drivers are safe, and they appreciate those who are obeying the rules.
