Online autism program at St. Lawrence College opens doors for students anywhere

New fully online graduate certificate aims to expand access to in-demand behavioural science training.

St. Lawrence College has launched a fully online Autism and Behavioural Science Ontario College Graduate Certificate, expanding access to training for students across the province and beyond.

The one-year, full-time program begins in September 2026 and is open to domestic and international applicants. It complements the college’s in-person offering in Kingston.

The program trains students to support individuals on the autism spectrum using Applied Behaviour Analysis, an evidence-based approach focused on building communication, social and life skills.

Students will learn assessment methods, design intervention plans and track outcomes. They must also arrange their own field placements in settings such as community agencies, schools or autism services.

President and CEO Glenn Vollebregt says the online format removes barriers for both recent graduates and working professionals.

Graduates often find work as ABA therapists with organizations like Children's Hospital of Eastern Ontario and Maltby Centre.
