Hill Island store saw a 25 percent drop in business this year.
Plenty of local businesses took a big hit with significantly less travelers coming from the United States.
1000 Islands Duty Free on Hill Island saw a big switch in American visitors to their location.
Here's Jeff Butler to tell us just how big the difference was.
Butler says business maybe slow but it is not going anywhere.
Butler says despite the 20-25 percent loss, the store remains strong and believes things will turn around very soon.
Store hours continue to be 6am until 11pm 7 days a week.
Butler reminds everyone to remember their daily limits and drive safely as you head south of the border.
