Brenda Orchard was elected President of the Canadian Association of Municipal Administrators at the recent AGM in Quebec.
Brenda Orchard, Chief Administrative Officer for the County of Lennox and Addington, has been elected President of the Canadian Association of Municipal Administrators (CAMA). The announcement was made during CAMA’s Annual General Meeting held this week in Mont Tremblant, Quebec.
Orchard has served as CAO for Lennox and Addington since 2017. Her leadership within CAMA began as Ontario’s representative, followed by roles as Treasurer, Second Vice President, and First Vice President, before being elected President.
CAMA is a national non-profit organization that supports senior municipal administrators across Canada. The association helps members improve local government by offering leadership training, knowledge-sharing, and resources to promote excellence in municipal administration.
Orchard’s election is being celebrated in her home community, where she is recognized for her strong leadership and service.
“Brenda is a rare talent, and we are very proud of her in L&A,” said County Warden Nathan Townend. “Anyone who has had the good fortune to work with Brenda understands why she is universally respected and admired. I know Brenda’s exceptional leadership, experience, and wisdom will leave a positive, lasting impact on the CAMA team.”
