Kingston’s fall yard waste pickup dates are here

Brush collection begins Sept. 21, while leaf pickup starts Oct. 26 across Kingston.

Kingston residents can start planning their fall yard work as the City prepares to begin its annual brush and leaf collection season.

Brush collection starts the week of Sept. 21, followed by leaf collection beginning Oct. 26.

Residents should check their collection week on the City of Kingston’s online collection calendar, as map boundaries have been updated this year. Collection reminders are also available.

Brush must be at the curb by 8 a.m. on the Monday of the scheduled week. Branches must be less than 15 centimetres in diameter and shorter than 90 centimetres long.

Leaf collection requires leaves to be placed in paper bags or loose in rigid-sided containers. Containers and bags must weigh no more than 20 kilograms.

Plastic bags will not be collected.

The City says crews may collect ahead of schedule when possible, but will return during the assigned week.
