The deadline to apply is October 25th
The annual Nighttime Santa Parade will once again be a popular destination.
The Downtown Kingston Business Improvement Area announced the parade, set for Saturday, November 23rd, is already 80% full. Now celebrating its 20th anniversary, the festive event is expected to draw thousands of spectators along Princess Street to see Santa and Mrs. Claus and enjoy the holiday magic.
The parade will kick off at 5 p.m. from Innovation Park, proceeding down Princess Street to Ontario Street. This year’s event will showcase a range of floats, marching bands, and festive characters. Last year’s parade saw over 90 participating organizations, many making their debut. Following the procession, Santa will light the giant holiday tree in Springer Market Square, marking the official start of Kingston’s holiday season.
Due to overwhelming interest, Downtown Kingston is urging businesses and community groups to submit their applications as soon as possible.
“We are overwhelmed by the enthusiasm of our community and don’t want to disappoint anyone, but space is limited,” said Sandi Griffiths, Events Manager with Downtown Kingston. “We encourage everyone interested in participating to submit their applications as soon as possible to secure a spot in this magical event.”
Applications are available online at downtownkingston.ca. Those with questions are encouraged to contact Sandi Griffiths directly at sandi@downtownkingston.ca.
