Passes are being sold at a discounted price online.
Kingston Transit are informing the public about an online scam involving their bus passes.
In a news release, the City of Kingston says the scam sees the passes being sold at a discounted price.
The City says they do not sell transit passes through social media.
They say people should be aware of suspicious-looking messages and don’t click links in them or provide personal information such as passwords, banking information or a credit card number.
They advise transit users to purchase passes at authorized retailers.
Anyone who may have encountered this scam is asked to contact Kingston Police at 613-549-4660, ext. 0.
