Alleged assault took place in a vehicle
A Kingston man was apprehended last week after a brief police pursuit across multiple jurisdictions.
On Monday, July 22, 2024, around 8 p.m., the Lennox and Addington (L&A) OPP responded to a 911 call about domestic violence. The incident occurred on Highway 401, where the suspect and victim were traveling eastbound.
The search for their vehicle led to a significant police presence at an apartment complex on Development Drive in Kingston's west end, around 9 p.m. Kingston Police, along with the Frontenac and L&A OPP detachments, collaborated to find the suspect's vehicle. The 44-year-old Kingston man was arrested at the scene.
He faces several charges, including three counts of spousal assault and uttering threats.
The man has been released on an undertaking and is scheduled to appear in Ontario Court of Justice in Napanee during the first week of August 2024.
