The team won the Canadian championships in Alberta and a berth in the world tournament in Michigan.
It was an amazing baseball season for the Kingston Jr. Colts.
They won the Junior Canadian Little League Championships in Lethbridge, Alberta beating the host Jr. Bulls in the championship final last month.
Coach Sean Adamson tells Reid and Ben of 98.3 FLY-FM that it was something both he and the players strived to achieve this year.
It was then off to Taylor, Michigan to represent Canada at the Junior Little League World Series. It was the first time that a team from Kingston appeared in the tournament.
The Jr. Colts finished the tournament with a 1-3 record but Adamson says that didn't put a damper on the team's experience there.
The Jr. Colts were at the FLY-FM studio last week appearing with Reid and Ben.
Catcher Lucas Ward says the last few weeks has been great for himself and the rest of the team.
He says they were able to exceed their expectations.
Shortstop Milo Wand says it was exciting to be there and didn't get nervous about being the first team from Kingston at the JLLWS.
