Cedrick Guindon joins the team
The Kingston Frontenacs have secured a major asset by trading with the Owen Sound Attack to acquire overage forward Cedrick Guindon. In exchange, Kingston will send future OHL Priority selections to Owen Sound, including picks in 2026, 2027, and 2028.
Guindon, a 5' 10", 170 lbs. forward from Rockland, ON, has consistently impressed throughout his OHL career with 78 goals and 107 assists in 204 games. His playoff experience, with 3 goals and 10 assists in 15 games, adds significant value to the Frontenacs roster.
General Manager Kory Cooper expressed excitement about the acquisition, highlighting Guindon's leadership and offensive talents. "Cedrick's high compete level and goal-scoring abilities are a perfect fit for our team."
Drafted by the Montreal Canadiens in 2022, Guindon also made a mark in the 2023 Prospects Challenge, scoring his first goal in Canadiens colors against the Boston Bruins prospects.
