There will be breast screenings along with mocktails and music this Friday afternoon.
Breast Imaging Kingston is hosting a special event at their east-end clinic.
They are holding a "Galentine's Day" event where they will be offering breast screenings along with mocktails and music this Friday from 4:30 pm to 8 pm.
In a news release, the event offers attendees a chance to enjoy a relaxed atmosphere while accessing life-saving breast screening education and services.
Kingston Health Science's Centre Rose of Hope Chair Dr. Doris Jabs says it is a welcoming space event full of meaningful conversations around breast health.
No referral is required but people are being encouraged to book an appointment online. Mammogram screenings are available to those between 40 and 74 who have a valid Ontario health card, have no personal history of breast cancer and no current abnormal breast symptoms, and have not had a screening mammogram in the past 11 months.
Breast Imaging Kingston is located at 820 John Marks Ave.
