Work by 38 Kingston-area artists will be on display.
Local art is set to shine.
The City of Kingston is bringing fresh local art to City Hall with Part 2 of the Kingston Artists’ Showcase, opening May 21 at the Market Wing Cultural Space.
The exhibition runs until November and features new work from 38 Kingston-based artists. Admission is free, and the gallery is open Wednesday to Saturday from noon to 4 p.m.
Over 60 artists were selected for the full year-long showcase through an open call. The artwork includes paintings, prints, textiles, and stained glass from emerging, mid-career, and established artists.
“The Kingston Artists’ Showcase offers an opportunity to see and celebrate the depth of artistic talent within our community,” said Danika Lochhead, Director of Arts & Culture Services.
The public is invited to an opening reception on May 28 from 5–7 p.m. at City Hall.
