The Kingston driver outlasted a pair of veteran racers for her 21st career Sportsman victory,
Kingston's Jessica Power started the first of three nights of the Showdown in the Sunshine State at All Tech Raceway in Lake City, Florida.
Power, in her first visit to the speedway, claimed the win Thursday night in the 25 lap Sportsman feature event. Power held off veterans Brian Calabrese and Brian Krummel for the popular win, the 21st of her Sportsman career and first ever win in Florida.
Power will look for back to back wins this evening at the All Tech Raceway and another possible $2,000 pay day tonight with the final event of the Showdown set for this Saturday.
