Ted Hsu isn't hinting whether he will be running for leadership of the Ontario Liberals.
The MPP for Kingston and the Islands is weighing his options after Bonnie Crombie announced on Sunday that she is stepping down as party leader.
KingstonDaily.ca reached out to Hsu for a comment but a representative from his constituency office said he was unavailable to speak with us.
In a statement, Hsu says he is taking the time to talk with his family and friends about what to do.
He also thanked Crombie for her service.
Hsu ran against Crombie in the last leadership race in 2023 along with Nate Erskine-Smith and Yasir Naqvi.
Crombie's decision to resign came hours after she won a close vote to remain as leader at the party's annual general meeting.
The Liberals under Crombie finished in third behind the PC's and the NDP in the provincial election back in February.
The party will be electing a new leader for the third time in the last five years.
