A 35-year-old faces multiple charges.
One person is in custody and a handgun has been seized following an overnight incident in the Sharbot Lake area.
Frontenac OPP say officers were called to a residence shortly before midnight Monday, January 26. A man fled the scene before police arrived and was believed to be armed with a handgun. A shelter-in-place order was issued for the surrounding area as a precaution.
Several hours later, officers located the suspect at another residence, where he was taken into custody without incident. A handgun was seized.
A 35-year-old man faces multiple charges, including pointing a firearm, possession of a loaded prohibited or restricted firearm, and tampering with a firearm serial number.
The accused is not being named to protect the identity of the victim.
