The incumbent defeated his closest challenger by a two-to-one margin.
It is a four-peat for both Mark Gerretsen and the federal Liberals.
Gerretsen, the 3-time incumbent, easily secured the Kingston and the Islands riding in Monday's election.
He spoke to supporters at a gathering at the DoubleTree hotel thanking them for their hard work during the campaign.
Gerretsen says the results show that voters in the riding, and Canadians in general, continue to have faith in Mark Carney and the Liberals.
While it was another victory for the Liberals, the results ended up with another minority government.
However, Gerretsen says he doesn't mind being in that position.
Gerretsen also touched on a number of local issues that he would like to see accomplished in the upcoming term.
A third bridge over the Cataraqui River, housing and affordability, and maintaining the Kingston Penitentiary as a tourist destination are just a few of the things he mentioned.
He also believes his government should take the lead when it comes to health care funding in Ontario.
Gerretsen won with more than 60 percent of the vote and double the margin over his closest challenger, Conservative Bryan Paterson.
