$6,000 is going to the KHSC Ophthalmology Program’s 5-bed expansion at Hotel Dieu Hospital.
The Gananoque Lions Club continues its tradition of supporting vision and health initiatives with a generous donation of $6,000 to the University Hospital Kingston Foundation. The funds will benefit the KHSC Ophthalmology Program’s 5-bed expansion at Hotel Dieu Hospital.
The expansion is designed to meet the growing demand for specialized eye care, helping children, seniors, and individuals living with vision loss. By supporting the new clinic, the donation will improve early detection and treatment of eye disease, enhance accessibility to care, and provide funding for advanced diagnostic tools.
The Gananoque Lions have a long-standing commitment to improving community health, particularly in vision-related programs. Their contribution will directly impact patients in Kingston and the surrounding area, helping ensure that specialized ophthalmology services are available to those who need them most.
