Frontenacs' Cooper, Mann address season ticket holders in town hall event

The general manager and head coach took questions and talked about expectations for the upcoming season.

It was a chance for season ticket holders of the Kingston Frontenacs to ask the team some tough questions.

The OHL team hosted a town hall event Monday night at Slush Puppie Place.

Around 30 people arrived to hear from General Manager Kory Cooper and Head Coach Troy Mann talk about the upcoming season.

Questions during the 45-minute session range from the players that were acquired, or traded away, to the expectations for the team.

Cooper says it was great to directly connect with their fans.

Both Cooper and Mann reiterated to the audience of their goal of bringing an OHL championship to Kingston.

Cooper says he likes the make up of their team but it will be up to the players to determine how far they will go.

Despite the smaller than expected turnout, Cooper says he would like to do another town hall later in the season.

The town hall got started with the announcement that Cooper and Mann both agreed to multi-year contract extensions with the club.

The Frontenacs begin their OHL season Thursday night in Peterborough against the Petes. The home opener is Sunday afternoon at 3 against the Ottawa 67s.
