Ongoing work at the primary berth will require the relocation of the Wolfe Islander IV to the Stella dock at Amherst Island.
The Ontario Ministry of Transportation says ferry service adjustments are planned as construction continues at the Kingston dock.
Ongoing work at the primary berth will require the relocation of the Wolfe Islander IV to the Stella dock at Amherst Island. The secondary berth in Kingston is not yet set up to accommodate the vessel. The Wolfe Islander IV is scheduled to move on Wednesday, March 11.
On Tuesday, March 10, the Amherst Islander II will be relocated to Kingston. The ministry says the vessel will remain available to provide backup service for the Amherst Island Ferry if needed.
Officials say the temporary changes are necessary to support construction and ensure continued ferry operations.
Residents with questions about the changes are encouraged to contact the Ministry of Transportation at MTOFerryInfo@Ontario.ca.
