Fentanyl, carfentanil, weapons seized at a Kingston home

Three people are facing charges as a result of the investigation.

A drug trafficking investigation in Kingston has led to the seizure of drugs and weapons.

Members of Kingston Police Street Crime Unit and Emergency Response Unit executed a search warrant at a home last Thurdsay in the area of Sir John A Macdonald Blvd and Leroy Grant Dr.

Officers went inside and found quantities of fentanyl and carfentanil. Investigators say there was evidence that the home was being used to process and distribute the highly-toxic substances.

There was also a loaded crossbow, a concealed ballistic vest, and a credit-card-sized .22 calibre firearm that were seized.

Two people inside the home were arrested and charged, and a third believed to be stopping by to pick up drugs was also arrested and charged.

All three are being held pending bail hearings.
