One person died at the scene, two more were taken to hospital.
Ontario Provincial Police are investigating a fatal head-on collision just outside Kingston that left one person dead and two others injured.
Police say the crash happened Wednesday, January 7, shortly after 11:30 a.m. on Taylor-Kidd Boulevard near Coronation Boulevard in Loyalist Township.
Officers from the Frontenac and Lennox and Addington OPP detachments responded along with Loyalist Township firefighters and Frontenac paramedics.
A passenger in one of the vehicles was pronounced dead at the scene. The two drivers were taken to hospital, one with life-threatening injuries and the other as a precaution. Police say no personal details about those involved are being released at this time.
The investigation is ongoing with help from the OPP East Region Traffic Incident Management Enforcement team. A collision reconstructionist, technical collision investigator, and forensic identification officers are assisting.
