Service between Kingston and Marysville was suspended for over six hours.
Many residents and visitors who had plans to visit Wolfe Island over the weekend found themselves being left at the dock.
The ferry service was operating for a couple of hours on Saturday (27th) when a post on X indicated that the service was being suspended due to a crew shortage.
The last sailing to Marysville from the Kingston dock happened at 8 am, the return trip back from the Marysville dock left at 8:30.
The post on X said service was expected to resume at 7 pm that evening. But they were able to get a full crew and service was restored at around 2:30 pm.
