It is being held at the KFR Training Centre on Terry Fox Dr on Nov 5.
If you have things like paint, motor oil and other materials that can't be put in the garbage, you can drop them off at a household hazardous waste drop-off event.
The City of Kingston is hosting the event Thurs Nov 5 at the Kingston Fire and Rescue Training Centre on Terry Fox Dr from 11 am to 7 pm with the last car cut-off at 6:30 pm.
This is only open to residents of Kingston.
The drop-off site will have the familiar drive-through set-up where staff can fully manage the materials making the line move quickly. The full range of household hazardous waste such as batteries, pesticides, and solvents that are normally collected at the City facility will be accepted.
Those who are dropping off batteries are being asked to sort them into types for quicker disposal. Refillable containers such as jerry cans will not be returned to avoid the risk of hazardous spills at the site.
More information can be found on the City of Kingston's website.
