A pick-up truck was rear-ended by a vehicle that ended up in a ditch in the eastbound lanes.
A serious collision on the 401 has resulted in charges.
Frontenac OPP were called to an area in the eastbound lanes near Sydenham Rd. late Thursday night.
They along with emergency crews arrived to find a pick-up truck that was rear-ended and another vehicle in a ditch.
Investigators say there were no reports of injuries but the driver of the vehicle in the ditch refused medical treatment.
They determined that the vehicle collided with the back of the pick-up causing the vehicle to roll into the ditch.
A 17-year-old from Kingston is facing charges of dangerous driving.
He is out with a future court date.
