The 50/50 raffle will help support community initiatives in Kingston.
The Kinsmen Club of Kingston are giving away cold hard cash.
Their latest fundraising initiative is called Kin2Win, a monthly online 50/50 raffle with guareenteed cash prizes.
Kinsmen member and Chair of the 50/50 committee Sean Allen says the group wanted to explore other ways to raise funds.
The formal announcement took place Thursday at the Boys and Girls Club South East on Bath Rd. They along with Partners in Mission Food Bank and the University Hospital Kingston Foundation will be some of the beneficiaries of the 50/50 raffle.
Allen says the money raised will go to help community organizations that the Kinsmen support.
During the month of October, there will be two earlybird cash prizes with the main draw happening on Oct. 31.
The 50/50 raffle will run parallel with their annual Dream Home Lottery that Allen says details of the 35th edition will be released shortly.
He hopes the two lotteries can bring some excitement in their fundraising efforts.
People can also set up subscriptions where 50/50 tickets can be purchased automatically for every draw.
