Canada Day fireworks get new date in Seeley's Bay

It will now go this Saturday night at Centennial Park.

The Seeley’s Bay Area Residents Association (SBARA) has announced the community’s Canada Day fireworks display has been rescheduled due to weather.

The fireworks will now take place Saturday, August 1, at dusk in Centennial Park in Seeley’s Bay, weather permitting.

Organizers say the annual event is being presented by SBARA volunteers with support from several community partners, including the Seeley’s Bay Lions Club, Seeley’s Bay Legion Branch 491, Leeds and Thousand Islands Fire Service, the Township of Leeds and the Thousand Islands, Heritage Canada, and Rideau Breeze Marina.

Residents and visitors are encouraged to gather at Centennial Park to enjoy the delayed Canada Day celebration.

Organizers note that weather conditions will continue to be monitored ahead of the event to ensure public safety.
