The Algonquin and Lakeshore Catholic District School Board, much like the Limestone District School Board (link article about LDSB results to the LDSB part of the line), is reporting strong gains in its latest EQAO results, showing growth in reading, writing and math across multiple grade levels.
The board says both Grade 3 and Grade 6 students improved in all areas tested, reflecting the work of educators, students and families. Programs such as the board’s Math Action Plan and its focus on the Science of Reading were credited for helping drive the progress.
At the secondary level, Grade 9 math scores and Grade 10 Ontario Secondary School Literacy Test results remained steady compared to last year. The board says the consistent numbers show continued stability and a strong commitment to student success.
Superintendent of Education Sonya Melim says the results highlight the teamwork happening across school communities and the focus on academic excellence. She also noted there is still room to grow as the board works to support every learner.
