Funds raised are going to support Pawsitive Impact.
Two local young entrepreneurs are bringing a new baking event to the Bath Market this Sunday while raising money for a local nonprofit.
Gwen and Amelia came up with the idea for Cake Picnic Kingston, wanting to create something different from the traditional bake sales.
The first-time event will bring people together to share cakes, showcase their baking and celebrate their love of baking.
All proceeds will support Pawsitive Impact, a local nonprofit that helps prevent dog overpopulation among low-income families.
The entrepreneurs hope the event inspires others to support local charities or pursue projects they care about.
Participants can preregister and purchase tickets online. Donations to Pawsitive Impact are also encouraged.
The organizers hope Cake Picnic Kingston can become an annual event.
