Wolfe Islander IV returns to service after nine months of repairs

The three-year-old electric-powered vessel has a history of mechanical issues.

The Wolfe Islander IV is back in service.

The high-capacity, electric-powered ferry will be in operation starting Monday at 5 am from the Marysville dock. The first trip from the Kingston dock will leave at 5:40 am.

The ferry will run on every 80 minutes. The last trip from Marysville will be 1:40 am, 2:20 am from Kingston.

The Wolfe Islander IV had been docked for repairs for the last nine months. It has had a history of mechanical issues since it was first christened back in 2023.

The Ministry of Transportation had been utilizing two ferry vessels before using the 50-year-old Wolfe Islander III in January.
