Carolyn V says she plans on saving for the future and making repairs to her home.

A Kingston resident scratched her way to $100,000.

Carolyn V, a former drywaller and construction worker, recently bought a Crossword Tripler instant scratch ticket at Maharaja Market on Bayridge Dr.

Carolyn says she initially thought she won $100 until she showed the ticket to her friend. It was then she realized it was actually $100,000.

She says she then went back to her home where her father was sleeping and woke him up to tell him the good news.

Carolyn went down to the OLG Prize Centre in Toronto to collect her winnings. She says she plans on saving for the future and put a portion of her winnings toward home repairs.
