Loyalist Township is inviting residents to take part in three Earth Day events on Saturday, April 26, 2025, focused on cleaning up, recycling, and giving back to the community.
From 9 a.m. to 12 p.m., volunteers can join a township-wide community cleanup. Free gloves and garbage bags will be provided at three rally points.
From 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., the Amherstview Fire Station will host a recycling drive. Residents can drop off electronic waste, batteries, gently used clothes, textiles, and non-perishable food items.
The day also includes a Curbside Giveaway from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. People can place reusable household items at the curb with a “FREE” sign. A new interactive map helps others find items.
These events aim to reduce waste, support local families, and promote environmental action.
Details are available on the Earth Day page at loyalist.ca.
