Police say officers found two masked individuals outside a Westbrook Road home and seized a loaded handgun, cocaine and cash.
Three people are facing multiple charges after Kingston Police responded to a report of suspicious activity in the city's west end.
Police say officers were called to the 1500 block of Westbrook Road at about 8 p.m. on July 23 after a vehicle was seen dropping off two people wearing black masks.
Officers located the pair in the backyard of a residence beside an open door. One suspect fled but was arrested after a brief foot chase. The second was arrested without incident. Police allege that person was carrying a loaded 9 mm Glock handgun and a large quantity of cocaine.
A third person was arrested after officers found the vehicle nearby.
A 24-year-old from Whitby faces firearm, break and enter and drug trafficking charges. A 28-year-old from Pickering is charged with break and enter and drug trafficking, while a 33-year-old from Toronto is charged with drug trafficking.
Police seized a handgun, seven rounds of ammunition, about 250 grams of cocaine, cash, multiple cellphones and pills. All three accused were held for bail hearings.
