More than 5,600 graduates will cross the stage during ceremonies at Grant Hall this week.
Queen's University is preparing to celebrate thousands of new graduates as Spring Convocation ceremonies begin this week in Kingston.
The university says approximately 5,600 students from seven faculties will receive their degrees during ceremonies recognizing the completion of their academic studies and the start of their professional careers.
The first round of convocation ceremonies will take place May 21 and 22 inside Grant Hall on the Queen’s campus.
University officials say convocation is one of the school’s most community-connected events, bringing graduates, families and visitors to the city while boosting activity for local hotels, restaurants, shops and downtown businesses.
Degrees will be awarded across a wide range of fields, including health sciences, medicine, occupational therapy, physical therapy, business, engineering, law and the arts.
Ceremonies will also be livestreamed online, beginning 15 minutes before each scheduled event.
