Queen's University performing arts centre will feature classical, global and contemporary music throughout the 2026-27 season.
The Isabel Bader Centre for the Performing Arts at Queen's University is launching its 2026-27 season with more than 25 performances in Kingston.
The season, called The Isabel at 12 – Celebrating Musical Traditions, officially opens Sunday, September 20, with a performance by piano quartet ensemble132.
The quartet will perform works by Schumann/Hong, Kelly-Marie Murphy and Johannes Brahms as part of The Isabel's Chamber Music Series.
The upcoming season includes five core series featuring classical masterworks, global musical traditions and contemporary artists. Highlights include Indigenous chamber opera Missing, Mariachi Herencia de México, performances by pianists Janina Fialkowska and Jan Lisiecki, and the National Arts Centre Orchestra with violinist James Ehnes.
The Friday Nights in the Recital Hall series will explore Indigenous, South Asian and Middle Eastern musical traditions.
Queen's students can receive one free ticket to Isabel-presented performances this season, with some restrictions.
