KEDCO hosted a networking event at Fractal Workplace on Thursday.
It is a graduation of sorts for 14 students who spent the summer building a business.
They were part of this year's Kingston Ecomonic Development Corporations's Summer Company program.
The 14 got to network and displayed their ventures to dozens of business people at Fractal Workspace on Thursday.
Youth Programs Intern Josh Bowry says the students underwent a training session to get them prepared for the real world.
One of the students who took the program was Farhaan Ali. He developed a new website called Pinpoint that helps students find housing in the city.
Ali says the program taught him the importance of mentorship and building a clientele and is now ready to take his new venture to the next level.
Bowry himself participated in the program in 2023.
He says he found that experience to be worthwhile and has made him become more business savvy.
Bowry says the program has been able to target youth and develop the next generation of entreprenuers.
