Township reschedules popular waterfront celebration for July 31 in Sydenham.
South Frontenac Township has announced a new date for its postponed Canada Day fireworks display, giving residents another chance to enjoy the annual celebration.
The fireworks, originally scheduled for July 1 but delayed due to weather, will now take place on Friday, July 31, at The Point Park in Sydenham. The show is set to begin at 9:15 p.m. and will help launch the long August weekend.
Township officials are encouraging residents and visitors to attend the waterfront event and make use of a complimentary shuttle bus service. Buses will depart from 10 locations across South Frontenac beginning at 8 p.m.
Information about shuttle pick-up locations and departure times is available on the Township's website.
Organizers say attendees are invited to bring lawn chairs or blankets and enjoy an evening with family and friends.
The fireworks display is expected to draw crowds from across the region for a community celebration along the Sydenham waterfront.
