Seeley's Bay resident facing multiple charges in child luring investigation

Firearms and ammunition were also seized along with child sexual abuse and exploitation material.

A Seeley’s Bay resident is facing multiple charges following an Ontario Provincial Police investigation into alleged child luring.

The Leeds County OPP began the investigation on May 25, 2026, after receiving information about an incident involving the alleged luring of a minor. During the investigation, police also seized two firearms and ammunition.

As a result, a 42-year-old has been charged with several offences, including luring a person under 16, invitation to sexual touching, possession of child sexual abuse and exploitation material, and unauthorized possession of a firearm and weapon.

Police say the accused was remanded into custody, has since been released. and is scheduled to appear in Brockville court on June 26, 2026.

The identity of the victim is protected. Anyone with information is asked to contact Leeds County OPP or Crime Stoppers anonymously.
