The total pot exceed $67,000 making it one of the biggest fundraisers in the foundation’s history.
The Algonquin and Lakeshore Catholic Education Foundation (ALCE Foundation) has received its largest-ever donation thanks to a successful 50/50 raffle.
The foundation, which supports students and families in financial need, received $26,409.13 from the second 50/50 draw of the year. The total pot exceeded $67,000, making this one of the biggest fundraisers in the foundation’s history.
The winner of the raffle will be announced later this week.
Established in 2007, the ALCE Foundation provides emergency support for students and families, helping with essentials like food, eyeglasses, medical supplies, clothing, and transportation.
The foundation says the success of this raffle shows how deeply the community cares about students. A third and final 50/50 draw for 2025 will launch in November.
The Algonquin and Lakeshore Catholic District School Board says it is thrilled by the community’s continued generosity and support.
